Miele Dishwasher Repair Error F24

We were recently called to a home where a Miele dishwasher kept showing error F24, and the cycle wouldn’t start. The homeowners tried restarting the machine and switching programs, but the error came back every time.

On Miele dishwashers, F24 usually points to a heating issue. This can happen when the water isn’t reaching the proper temperature due to a problem with the heating element, temperature sensor, or low water circulation that prevents the system from heating correctly.

After running diagnostics, we found that the circulation inside the dishwasher was weak because the filter and parts of the water path were partially clogged. With restricted flow, the heater couldn’t operate properly, and the machine stopped the cycle with an F24 error.

We cleaned the filter, flushed the circulation system, and checked the heating element. Once the water flow was restored, the dishwasher heated normally and the error disappeared. The machine completed a full cycle without interruptions.

The entire repair took about an hour, and no replacement parts were needed. If your Miele dishwasher is showing error F24, it’s often caused by a heating or circulation issue — and it can usually be resolved in a single service visit.
